Touching...

*By other author...

I was born in a secluded village on a mountain. Day by day, my parents plowed the yellow dry soil with their backs towards the sky. I have a brother who is 3 years younger than me.

I wanted to buy a handkerchief, which all girls around me seemed to have. So, one day I stole 50 cents from my father's drawer. Father had discovered about the stolen money right away. He made me and my younger brother kneel against the wall as he held a bamboo stick in his hand.

"Who stole the money?" he asked.

I was stunned, too afraid to talk. Neither of us admitted to the fault, so he said,

"Fine, if nobody wants to admit, you two should be beaten!"

He lifted up the bamboo stick. Suddenly, my younger brother gripped father's hand and said,

"Dad, I was the one who did it!"

The long stick smacked my brother's back repeatedly. Father was so angry that he kept on whipping my brother until he lost his breath. After that, he sat down on our stone bed and scolded my brother,

"You have learned to steal from your own house now. What other embarrassing things will you be possibly doing in the future? You should be beaten to death, you shameless thief!"

That night, my mother and I hugged my brother. His body was full of wounds from the beating but he never shed a single tear. In the middle of the night, all of sudden, I cried out loudly. My brother covered my mouth with his little hand and said,

"Sis, now don't cry anymore. Everything has happened."

I still hate myself for not having enough courage to admit what I did.
Years gone by, but the incident still seemed like it just happened yesterday. I will never forget my brother's expression when he protected me.

That year, my brother was 8 years old and I was 11 years old.

When my brother was in his last year of secondary school, he was accepted in an upper secondary school in the central. At the same time, I was accepted into a university in the province. That night, father squatted in the yard, smoking, packet by packet. I could hear him ask my mother,

"Both of our children, they have good results? very good results?" Mother wiped off her tears and sighed," What is the use? How can we possibly finance both of them?"

At that time, my brother walked out, he stood in front of father and said,

"Dad, I don't want to continue my study anymore, I have read enough books."

Father swung his hand and slapped my brother on his face.

"Why do you have a spirit so damn weak? Even if it means I have to beg for money on the streets, I will send you two to school until you have both finished your study!"

And then, he started to knock on every house in the village to borrow money. I stuck out my hand as gently as I can to my brother's swollen face, and told him,

"A boy has to continue his study. If not, he will not be able to overcome this poverty we are experiencing." I, on the other hand, had decided not to further my study at the university.

Nobody knew that on the next day, before dawn, my brother left the house with a few pieces of worn-out clothes and a few dry beans. He sneaked to my side of the bed and left a note on my pillow;

"Sis, getting into a university is not easy. I will go find a job and I will send money to you." I held the note while sitting on my bed, and cried until I lost my voice.

That year, my brother was 17 years old; I was 20 years old.

With the money father borrowed from the whole village, and the money my brother earned from carrying cement on his back at a construction site, finally, I managed to get to the third year of my study in the university. One day, while I was studying in my room, my roommate came in and told me,

"There's a villager waiting for you outside!"

Why would there be a villager looking for me? I walked out, and I saw my brother from afar. His whole body was covered with dirt, dust, cement and sand. I asked him,

"Why did you not tell my roommate that you are my brother?" He replied with a smile," Look at my appearance. What will they think if they would know that I am your brother? Won't they laugh at you?"

I felt so touched, and tears filled my eyes. I swept away dirt and dust from my brother's body. And told him with a lump in my throat,

"I don't care what people would say! You are my brother no matter what your appearance is?"

From his pocket, he took out a butterfly hair clip. He put it on my hair and said,

"I saw all the girls in town are wearing it. So, I think you should also have one."

I could not hold back myself anymore. I pulled my brother into my arms and cried.
That year, my brother was 20 years old; I was 23 years old.

I noticed that the broken window was repaired the first time I brought my boyfriend home. The house was scrubbed cleaned. After my boyfriend left, I danced like a little girl in front of my mother,

"Mom, you didn't have to spend so much time cleaning the house!"

But she told me with a smile,

"It was your brother who went home early to clean the house. Didn't you see the wound on his hand? He hurt his hand while he was replacing the window."

I went into my brother's bedroom. Looking at his thin face, I felt like there are hundreds of needle pricked in my heart. I applied some ointment on his wound and put a bandage on it,

"Does it hurt?" I asked him.
"No, it doesn't hurt. You know, when at the construction site, stones keep falling on my feet. Even that could not stop me from working." In the middle of the sentence, he stopped.

I turned my back on him and tears rolled down my face.

That year, my brother was 23 years old; I was 26 years old.

After I got married, I lived in the city. Many times my husband invited my parents to come and live with us, but they didn't want. They said, once they left the village, they wouldn't know what to do. My brother agreed with them. He said,

"Sis, you just take care of your parents-in-law. I will take care of mom and dad here."

My husband became the director of his factory. We asked my brother to accept the offer of being the manager in the maintenance department. But my brother rejected the offer. He insisted on working as a repairman instead for a start. One day, my brother was on the top of a ladder repairing a cable, when he got electrocuted, and was sent to the hospital. My husband and I visited him at the hospital. Looking at the white gypsum on his leg, I grumbled,

"Why did you reject the offer of being a manager? Managers won't do something dangerous like that. Now look at you, You are suffering a serious injury. Why didn't you just listen to us?"

With a serious expression on his face, he defended his decision,

"Think of brother-in-law. He just became the director, and I being uneducated, and would become a manager, what kind of rumors would fly around?"

My husband's eyes filled up with tears, and then I said,

"But you lack in education only because of me!"

"Why do you talk about the past?" he said and then he held my hand.

That year, he was 26 years old and I was 29 years old.

My brother was 30 years old when he married a farmer girl from the village. During the wedding reception, the master of ceremonies asked him,

"Who is the one person you respect and love the most?"

Without even taking a time to think, he answered,

"My sister."

He continued by telling a story I could not even remember.

"When I was in primary school, the school was in a different village. Everyday, my sister and I would walk for 2 hours to school and back home. One day, I lost the other pair of my gloves. My sister gave me one of hers. She wore only one glove and she had to walk far. When we got home, her hands were trembling because of the cold weather that she could not even hold her chopsticks. From that day on, I swore that as long as I live, I would take care of my sister and will always be good to her."

Applause filled up the room. All guests turned their attention to me. I found it hard to speak,

"In my whole life, the one I would like to thank most is my brother," And in this happy occasion, in front of the crowd, tears were rolling down my face again.

Love and care for the one you love every single days of your life. You may think what you did is just a small deed, but to that someone, it may mean a lot. Have a nice day everyone! May this story inspire you in any way!

Right Place, Right Time

Right Place, Right Time

Ecclesiastes 9:11
11The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favour to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.

God’s Word tells us that being faster, stronger and wiser does not automatically make you a winner in life. No, it is actually being at the right place at the right time that causes you to receive blessings. And God, who holds time and chance in His hands, is the only one who can put you at the right place at the right time.

He did this for Ruth. Ruth trusted God for favour when she went looking for a field in which to glean. (Ruth 2:2) Then, the Bible tells us that “she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech”. (Ruth 2:3) Of all the fields, she happened to end up in Boaz’s field, and he was a close relative of Elimelech, her father-in-law. This meant that Boaz was her potential kinsman redeemer, someone who could redeem her from her plight as a young, childless widow in a foreign land.

Boaz also happened to be “a man of great wealth” (Ruth 2:1), and as it turned out, he was willing to redeem Ruth. (Ruth 4:9–10) All these “right happenings” could only mean that God had placed Ruth in the right place at the right time.

I believe that the very day Ruth told her mother-in-law that the God of Israel would be her God (Ruth 1:16), God took note and made everything happen right for her.

Today, God also wants you to know that because you have said, “God, You are My God,” He will be your God of divine happenings. He will place you at the right place at the right time, where you will meet the right people, do the right things and even escape danger!

You may not know where all the great opportunities are, but God does. He is the one who put in you the skills, talents and gifts that you have, and He knows where you need to be, when you should be there and what you need to be doing to be truly satisfied!

~A Prayer for All Seasons~

Colossians 1:9-12
(9)For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. (10)And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, (11)being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully (12)giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

=~*~= As we spend time with God, we open ourselves to His work in our hearts and in our lives. Then, as we see Him working, we will want to know Him even more. We will want our prayer life to be all that it can be. What does that mean? How should we be praying?
In the Scripture, we find many models of prayer, and probably foremost is the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13). This wonderful example of prayer includes important elements of prayer. We find words of adoration, of submission to God's will, of petition, and in closing, of praise. We can learn much from the model our Lord gave when his disciples said, "Teach us to pray" (Luke 11:1).

* If you aren't praying for your friends daily, it is suggested that you use Colossians 1:9-12 as your model. Look at what you'll be asking God:
- That your friend will have the spiritual wisdom and understanding she needs to know God's will.
- That she will "walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him, in all respects".
- That she will be "strengthen with all power...for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience".

Thereafter, end your prayer by joyously giving thanks to God for all He has given you -- Your friend being one of those gifts. =~*~=

*Prayer pushes the light and hope into little dark corners of your life.*

~oh yah...~

oh yah...forgot to add on...dis afternoon after service i've been approached by Grace (our Youth Minister) to become a discipler for a couple of younger gals...i was like 'OH NO!!! are u sure???!!!'...obviously such reaction means i'm TOTALLY not prepared for it lor...but...since she has approached me...it means that most likely it's wat God wants her to ask me to do...which also means wat God wants me to do...sigh...i really hope i wun be a bad discipler...really not prepared at all lor...but 1 thing for sure...i feel that such arrangements will surely make me more closer to God and read more of His Word...y? cos during such period, i will need God and the wisdom to disciple them...i will also need to read up more to know what to teach and know how to answer questions...guess this is one way of how God is answering my prayers during those alter calls i went up to...hmmm...really pray hard that all will go fine...at this moment i will be waiting for Grace to assign me to 2 of the gals...wonder who...hmmm...guess i really need to strength for all these...
anyway, such signs of God's answers made me feel that His calling is becoming clearer...plus i really need to come back to God once again to serve Him wholeheartedly...
anyway, for people who do not know God or have yet to accept Him...let me tell you that u will really feel the peace if u were to believe in Him...and you will tend to experience unexpected miracles...He is just so great and wonderful...and the most important thing of all...He Loves us all! yes! He loves us!!! we are all created in His image...really...to all people...you will really experience a life changing phase if you truly believe in Him...trust me...i do admit many a times i'm tired of being a Christian...tired of this and that...do's and don'ts...many...but...i still hold on to my believe and still love God no matter wat...(although the devil still attacked me with many temptations)...guess i'm just not strong enough...but will build up myself on this...hmmm...yup..God is really great...I Love You Lord! heez...

kk will stop here...byeeeeeeeee...and God Loves ALL of u!!!

anywayz, i went to watch movie on Friday...i like watching movies...but usually it's just the time that prevents me from watching...but anyway i managd to watch The Departed on friday after class...midnight movie (cos passed the 10plus timing liao)...luckily informed my dad if not will have another cold war...ended ard 3plus i think (forgot)...i wont rate high for this movie cos it's juz too copy cat lah...totally the same as Infernal Affairs...except in english version...i like Infernal Affairs...but mayb not for this...fell asleep afew times...partly also due to tiredness...anyway...when i reached home and prepare to sleep...it's abt 4am liao...only slept about 3plus hrs den wake up and prepare to go give tuition...(fell asleep when i'm teaching though...keke...)...after giving tuition, i went Amore for my Hip Hop and Kickboxing...2hrs non stop...really dead tired after that lor...den i went The Edge for service, and after that headed to Winnie (godsis) and Sy Biau's house with Serena, Joanne and Jinlun. played with their 3 lil kids...fun lor...they even buried me under their pillows and blankets...and cos it's too comfy, i fell asleep for awhile...i think Sy Biau even took foto of me sleeping lor...grrr...haaz...after i woke up, we all talked till 11plus, den Sy Biau sent us home...even the journey home was so fun...cos Sy Biau keep making turns dat made me,serena and joanne to keep squashing each other...haaz...after i reached home, think i slept around 1plus or something like dat...
then the next morning, which is today, i woke up at 7plus again, washed up and headed to Futsing...before i go there, i went to the supermarket to buy tidbits for the kids (got duty mah)...den i took cab down...had Communications LIW Class...learnt quite a fair bit on the process of Communications and the use of tongue...how dangerous it can be at times...that's the reason y God created us with 2 eyes, 2 ears and only 1 mouth...to see and listen clearly and carefully(concentrate more on these 2), but to talk less or talk appropriately...haaz...after class i did not go for service cos got duty with the 3-6yrs old...so fun lor...see them and play with them makes me happy...although they are naughty...i 'fought' with the boys lor...haaz...but they still cant win me...keke...after duty, i was being asked to help look after one of the sister's daughter, Faith, cos she had class to attend...so i took her along with me for lunch. Had lunch with Winnie and Sy Biau and the kids, with Faith. After lunch i brought Faith back to her mum den i took a cab home, take my rollerblades and stuff, and headed to Clementi to meet Weiling...we headed to West Coast Park together...lessons were alright today, but was quite sad...cos i didnt manage to learn those nice turns...duno y i scared lor...scared to fall...and also dowana scratch my new blades and gears...wahahahaha....sigh...quite disappointed with myself...hmmm...sad...anyway after lessons i foned my dad, and luckily he was heading home from Jurong East, so he made a turn to come and fetch me home...heez...if not i have to take train man...will take ages...wahahaha...had dinner with my family, full force for dinner today...so dad is very happy...heez...yup...this is how i've spent my weekend...really tiring with all those activities and less sleep...heez...k will stop here...gotta do my assignment and work...tata~

take care and God Bless~

Stresss Management!!!

>> A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a
> glass of water and asked, "how heavy is this glass of water? "
>
> Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.
>
> The lecturer replied, "the absolute weight doesn't matter." It depends on
> how long you try to hold it.
>
> If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.
> If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.
> If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.
> In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier
> it becomes.
> And that's the way it is with stress management.
> If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden
> becomes increasingly heavy, we won't be able to carry on.
>
> As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and rest
> before holding it again. When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the
> burden.
> So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down.
> Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.
> Whatever burdens you're carrying now, let them down for a moment if you
> can.
> Relax; pick them up later after you've rested.
>
> Life is short. Enjoy it!
>
> And then he shared some ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
> * Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.
>
> * Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them
>
> * Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle
> of it.
>
> * Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.
>
> * If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
>
> * If you lend someone $20 and never see them again, it was probably worth
> it.
>
> * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning
> to others.
>
> * Never buy a car you can't push.
>
> * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you
> won't have a leg to stand on.
>
> * Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
>
> * The second mouse gets the cheese.
>
> * When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
>
> * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
>
> * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to
> one person.
>
> * Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
>
> * We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and
> some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but
> they all have to live in the same box.
>
> A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
>
> Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today. . .
> . ..... I did.

~2yrs liao~

oh yah...actually wana blog about this...but keep forgetting...now juz remembered. Today, 5th Oct 2006 is my 2nd yr in UOB as a perm staff doing management reporting...actually i'm in UOB for more than 2yrs...before being a perm i was a temp staff...hmmm...wow...times really past very fast...can't believe that i'm there for 2yrs liao...though pay still as little...and rank still the same...lowest...i really cant wait to graduate from uni lor...sigh...den still pondering whether to change job so as to achieve the position i should be getting (along with my experience) plus the pay i should be getting...cos i'm currently learning new things along the way...though is not a fast process of learning, at least ALOT faster and more things to learn than more than a yr ago before i came to this new dept...sigh...really in a dilemma...
anyway...though i did not learn much since i started this perm till afew months ago, i still wana give credit as to that i have actually grown alot and experienced alot...learning(though not alot) is a sure thing...i'm from someone who doesn't know what is and how to use Excel till now i feel i'm fairly good at it...cos i've been facing excel every working day lor...without fail! it's a benefit afterall i guess...love this job alot...dealing with the numbers and stuff (not accounting ar)...as for the environment...some are good...but some are really bad...however, ever since i've moved up and changed dept, i get to experience more of the ppl whom i think (heard from ppl) are ruthless or watsoever...but now i've got to know them, they are actually quite ok afterall...however, there are still exceptions...people here are super competitive...will try to push as much blame as possible so things will not look bad on them...but that's life i guess...cannot be avoided...cos it's due to each individual...i cant possibly change them...sigh...many will say this is the real world...but in the Christian context, this world we are living in now is just a temporary world...our REAL WORLD is in heaven!!! yay!!!heez...however, we are here so as to spread the Gospel and allow people to know of God's existence!and thereafter is their choice whether to accept Him or not...heez...yup...
k will stop here...back to work again...

Happy 2nd Yr Anniversary in UOB to mi!

Hope Banta Singh's spirit will live on

Just for a laugh...

Three dead bodies turn up at the mortuary, all with very big smiles on their faces. The coroner calls in the police to tell them what has happened.

First body: "Frenchman, 60, died of heart failure while making love to his mistress. Hence the enormous smile, inspector", says the Coroner.

Second body: "Scotsman, 25, won a thousand pounds on the lottery, spent it all on whisky. Died of alcohol poisoning, hence the smile."

The Inspector asked, "What of the third body?" "Ah," says the coroner, "This is the most unusual one: Banta Singh from Punjab 30, struck by lightning."

"Why is he smiling then?" inquires the Inspector.

He thought he was having his photo taken."

~just another day...~

hi allz...yupz...it's sunday...sigh...means that gotta work tmr...and guess wat? 2 of my colleagues will be on leave for afew days..and i'm gona be their back up...actually its not alot lah...juz helping a little bit of each...hopefully wun do it wrong though...heez...
hmm...2dae was not a bad day...early morning got up for LIW class(church class)...Missions and Evangelism...last lesson for the term...yay!haaz...but new term gona commence soon though...have yet to know what lesson i will be taking next term...therafter i didnt attend service cos got duty in the Children Ministry...in the 3 - 6yrs old group...juz love the kids...so cute lor...heez...and everytime during my duty...i will juz spoil the kids lah...cos will buy crackers, tidbits or sweets for them...heez...very happy to see them happy...love it when they give mi hugs and kisses...and when they allow me to carry them...heez...kids are juz so adorable...never regretted joining the Children Ministry...hmmm...after the kids got their goodies, there are some left so i took afew...hee...
after church the normal group of us went for lunch...and thereafter i headed to SSDC for practical lesson...on my way there by train, there were 2 kids sitting bside me...den i duno why the sudden i juz took out the tidbits i have and juz gave all to them...and that action of mine really made them happy...and made my day when i see them so happy...den i went for driving...finally completed stage1...took ages man...haaz...but driving is fun lah...though troublesome to change gear...nice driving out on the road...but really scary when u never know when people will suddenly dash out of the road(think i'm one of such person...heez...)...or a car or motorcycle suddenly appear behind or bside u...heez...
after practical lesson...i decided to go home...cos tired...but since i stopped at toa payoh...i went to walk around to see clothes...den bought 2 bottoms from giodano...den went home...it's great that i go home early today...cos it's seldom that the whole family are all home...and we went out to eat...all of us thought for very long for a place to eat...many names were mentioned...in the end decided to go Senbawang there to eat...its called Bottle Tree Village...nice place i should say...thumbs up...plus the food is not bad...the restaurant is facing the sea...u can either sit indoor or outdoor...and the carpark is like only afew metres away from the sea lor...if drive v fast or lose control sure drive into the sea..haaa...and right across the sea can see Pasir Gudang(duno spell correctly anot) seafood restaurant...however, 1 bad thing is that there are no lightings for tables outdoor...cannot see clearly lor...dun even noe what food we are taking...wahahahaa...but its nice lah...it's at Sembawang Park there...and drive all the way in...hmmm...had a filling dinner...after dinner we went home...watched abit of tv...den now online...sleeping soon..tired...
anyway...will say abit of wat i did and happened yesterday...great day too...
usual morning where i go give tuition...after that i went to Amore for Hip Hop and KickBoxing...super tiring lor...den cos my classmates jio me out at nite, i went home to change and left my stuff at home...den went for service...great service with Paster Miguel again...very interesting pastor...heez...after service most of the youths headed to Geraldine's surprise Birthday Party...really a great surprise for her...the presence of many ppl really surprised her...plus Pat and Charis and family were back from KL...missed them sooo much man...the kids esp(all thanks to her great bf and sis and family and some other frens)...oh yah...was supposed to meet my frens at 9.30pm but i dragged till 10.30pm den leave...and took a cab down...oh yah...back to the party...not only is a bdae surprise...its something she cannot forget for the rest of her life! Her bf proposed to her...but before the proposal, she was asked to look down the window of a 2-storey high place...and there he was...with a script...giving a speech to her...and singing a song...something grow old song...so romantic man...plus in front of sooo many ppl lor...thereafter...2 frens pulled out a long stretch of note that writes " Will You Grow Old With Me?"...wah lao...so sweet man...she said yes and every1 was so happy for her...really glad for her...really wish her happiness...and may God Bless them in their walk with God together...oh yah...after the proposal and a small video clip, i left to meet my frens...they decided to go relax at Devils Bar...so juz go lor...cos is to relax cos after exams...happening bunch of frens i should sae...hmmm...anyway the crowd at Devil's isnt really happening...saw afew gays...and a weird couple dancing...even lao ah pek went lah...cool man...havent been to such places in ages...didnt noe lao ah pek also go...hahahaha...anyway i left at 1plus with the rest still around...cos i dowan my dad to worry...went home...bathe and sleep...yups...dats my dae yesterday...not bad huh...but really tiring...duno how i survived today...haa...

anyway gotta stop here...take gd care...
God Bless...*smiles*

~exams over for this sem~

~WooHoo~ exams juz ended afew hrs ago...tired sia...a whole day of studying...trying to study i should say...have had my exams this week on Tuesday anf Friday...took leave on these 2 days to study for my exams...actually i should say these 2 days of revision before exams are the most fruitful (though most of the time fighting off sleepy monster)...i managed to study as much as i can...and guess what? i actually have not felt any nervous-ness during these 2 papers...just went in to the exam hall and write...trying my best to recal what i've studied...anyway for both these papers, i managed to attempt all needed questions, however, unsure about validity. tried to smoke through lor...no choice...but at least i tried to attempt all needed questions...guess that is why i i'm not that worried about how i will fare as compared to all other papers i've taken in the past. have always remembered i will keep on worrying and saying that i have high chances of failing...but not this time...actually when it's like that...i guess i should be more worried...y? cos in the past i'm always so worried, but i managed to pass all...but now i'm not worried...wat if...?haaz...duno lah...anyway i felt that i have did my best...studied hard though is last minute...all i can do is leave it to God...He will do the rest...heez...
oh yah...vomitted when i reached school today...sigh...vomitted the whole of my dinner...stomach was empty when i go into the exam hall...and kinda pain cos of the gastric juices (no food to digest since all vomitted out)...sigh...i had my dinner at about 445pm and thereafter i went to school...wasnt feeling really well when i'm in the bus...and was trying to hold my puke till i reach school's toilet...haaz...while walking to school, i happened to bump into Jason, baby Caleb, and Leon...kinda surprised to see them...however i juz said hi to them, and played with baby Caleb awhile and i rushed off...cos cannot tahan liao...haaz...
sigh...really wonder when all these puking and pains will stop...been taking med still no help...however, much inproved on the psycho side...anyway i guess 2dae's puking is cos i ate too much(no choice...only my portion was cooked n cos dowana waste food, i finished them)...wasnt supposed to eat alot at a time...now my portion of food got to be lessened and number of meals increased...if not my stomach cannot take it...sian...sum1 who used to be able to eat alot at a time gotta eat little liao...sigh...

anyway will stop here...sian man...sch starting on Monday...grrr...no rest at all...haaz...

take care...God Bless~~~

~sigh...vomiting symptoms r back~

sad sia...these few days keep vomiting after meals...lucky not every meal...if not i really dont know what to do...cos i'm really sick of vomiting...everytime after i vomited, i will juz squat down and cry...cos i'm really tired of all these...sigh...however, 1 thing that is puzzling me is that i thought my condition is getting better...i mean i prevented and avoided getting stressed already...but still...such symptoms r back...sigh...my colleague told me maybe i'm stressed about my coming exams...which i didnt feel it...anyway past few days i've been trying to study...i did...but...i totally forget what i've read/studied...didnt remember a single bit at all...very sad lor...this is the reason why i always cannot do revision...cos i noe i cant remember anything even if i did study earlier...and that is y i always have to study last minute (on the day of exam itself)...and really thank God that these past 2 yrs my results are ok...and thank God i have yet to fail any modules...and praying real hard i will not fail any for the whole course...but...i guess i have to accept it if i really were to fail cos i'm always last minute...sigh...if fail means extra 3mths per module and afew hundred dollars...something i've always been avoiding...i am really hoping that this whole deg course ends asap...anyway i will still do my best during my last min studying...even if i fail...i think God has a reason for it to happen...haa...guess gotta learn to take it easy...and accept what God has planned for mi! heez...
anyway these past few days have been noticing many people getting sick or something like that...juz hope these people get well soon...drink more water...get more rest...God will Bless u! heez...

take care...God Bless!

~am i fat last time???~

*yawnz*...juz reached home abt 30mins ago (11.08pm) i guess...would have been later if i took the train and bus...but thanks to Ben, he sent me home...cos he was nearby SSDC...was learning driving just now till 1030pm lor...hmmm...yah...driving is fun...but tiring...but i'm pissed lah...cos duno the instructors purposely wana earn my money or wat, only let me pass 1 subject each lesson...slow lor...or am i lousy?hahahaha...sigh...nvm...cos i'm still new to driving lah...so boh bian...guess have to spend more lor...sigh...hmmm...
Anyway, b4 i went driving i had a quick revision for exam(soon!) in the library...sian man...guess wat?i forgot wat i've studied liao lah...sianzzz...i got short term memory lor...cannot remember alot of things lor...and i selectively remember...and since i dun really like to study...that goes the same for not remembering wat i've studied... -___-''' haaz...hmmm...
oh yah...going back to the topic on my title, juz wana ask u people who have seen me mayb at least a yr ago and now...am i really fat or more meaty back then? cos these past few months cos of stress n my gastric, i usually vomit watever i eat...which then causes me to lose alot of weight along the way...where now i'm about 47kg...whereby taking Jan 06 my weight was about 52 or 53kg...which means a drop by about 5kg...but the thing is i cant see much difference in my size...i still see tummy!haaa...and the past 2 months or so i've been hearing alot of people (school, workplace and others) say that i look alot 'slimmer' or 'skinnier' now compared to say the beginning of the yr...which i'm really quite puzzled...cos all along since mayb the beginning of the yr i thought i wasnt really fat...plus now i feel i look kinda the same...but after hearing them say i look skinnier now, means i'm really fat previously lah...sad lor...cos all along i thought i wasnt...hahaha...only heavier in weight...haa...i duno lah...i juz cannot get over people keep saying " ni shou le hen duo" in mandarin lah...and the 1st thought that comes to my mind is " means i'm very fat last time lah?"...i suddenly brought this issue up is cos juz now after work on my way to library i saw a colleague of mine whom i seldom see esp after i shifted up to 25th floor...den she suddenly exclaimed "wah u slim down alot ar? wat u eat ar?"...i was like...erm...cos i got gastric problem so mayb dats the cause lor...haaz...hmmm...but the thing was that wat i wore 2dae doesnt make mi look thinner leh...in fact it makes mi look abit more fat...but...hmmm...duno lah...but guess i'm sensitive in such matters about weight ba...will keep thinkin dat ppl think i'm fat as they think i'm skinnier now...haaaz...
k lah will stop here...sigh...still coughing lah...sian leh...but i have myself to blame...i still eat chocolate!!!haaaz...k lah...nitez...byeeeee

take care n God Bless~

~not feeling well~

sigh...sick...bad throat infection...went to see doc 2dae cos last night cannot even sleep well...keep coughing...and throat very pain...guess i ate too much chips n chocs...(but no regrets...wahhaha)...actually my throat already pain the night b4 liao...thought of going to see doc on Wed morning...but cos wed i'm bz with reports...so i went to work instead...and knowing that my throat is already pain...i still ate cheezels and chocs...and twisties...hahahahaa...guess that's y i had a horrible night...hahahaha...now still coughing though...but alot better...luckily this time round of throat pain is not followed by fever...haaz...even got MC for the day...but still went for work...heez...love to work liao lah...haha...

anyway...work is getting better i guess...supervisor still as nice...heez...colleague too...always will feel blessed that God has sent someone who has the same belief as mi to work with me...so that as and when i need spiritual guidance or advise i can turn to her...Praise the Lord!she's a very nice sis in Christ...glad that she's around to talk to me...
oh yah...there's a new colleague in my team...a management associate...he's been rotating around different depts...but eventually will stay put in the dept i'm in by Jan 07...however, he'll be staying in my dept from now till mid Oct this yr...den rotate to another dept...den come back on Jan 07...nice and hardworking person...but somehow wayy too serious in work and v quiet...but wat's good abt him is that he is constantly asking and learning...guess i should learn from him this habit of his...ask questions when in doubt...it's something i dont really do...and my supervisor wants me to practice that...so that i can learn...yup yup...it's time...haaa...
anyway...as for now, my supervisor presented him with a project to do with me, which is creating a Management Information System(MIS) into a database format to ease my doing of reporting...and also to automate it instead of being so manual in retrieving data...he's very enthusiastic about it and systematic...he's been learning what i usually do everyday in pulling out the data and asking me alot of questions...and he's working on the new project already!glad that he's around to help me...cos i wouldnt know when i will have the extra hand to do this project...plus he target to complete it in about 2wks time...he's great man...haaa...but somehow me n my colleague feel abit weird with him around...mayb he's too quiet i guess...and we feel kinda bad cos whenever is lunch time, we will meet up with our own group of makan khakis...den nv ask him along...guess muz have lunch w him or ask him along liao...muz bring in the bond for our team...heee...
kk will stop here...need sleep...keep coughing now...sigh...i miss my chips n chocs...wahahahahaa...will eat them once i'm ok...wahahahaa...and sigh...exams are coming...really need to prepare this time...the modules are kinda difficult...but not yet started and i'm left with less than 2wks!!!haa...better buck up...heee...
k nightz...take care n God Bless~~

~sigh~

sigh...my health has really been very unpredictable these days...at one period of time, i can be totally fine, but at the next moment, i will go back into vomitting and feeling uneasy...sigh...juz really hate such things happening to me...at times i really cannot take it anymore and really hope all will end off...sigh...anyway my doc is back from reservist...so i went to visit him (at the clinic) on Monday morning...i told him what had happened during the 3plus weeks he's not around...really suffering man( at one period of time)...sigh...anyway, as usual, medicine increase...more to take...plus 1 more treatment - treating my mental health...sigh...guess i'm going mad...he asked me to list down all the things i think that affects me or stress me (more of unresolved matters)...have already get the list more or less done...will email it to him soon...which means 1st session's gona start soon...
guess what? actually my list did not include my work, cos i think i'm happy with what i am doing now and my new environment...but yesterday i added work in...really sad...been really bothered by itactually since i came into the new environment...but i thought it might get better...but did not...sigh...i'm happy at work now cos i learn alot and get to do afew new projects, one of which is doing up charts and getting it linked to powerpoint, thereafter put into a webpage for the different product managers(of credit card) to view...though webpage not done by me(cos i dont know how to), but i did most of the charts and linking of powerpoint. I really put in my best effort(even brought it home over the weekends to do) and really wana see it successful. This webpage will be launching soon and i'm really happy. But what i'm bothered about is that i feel i did soo much, maybe my hardwork is seen...but i feel i'm not appreciated...really sad abt it...keep wanting to cry when i think about it...my supervisor is really a nice person who taught me alot of things and the 1 who asked me to handle this project...but i feel whenever there's other things more impt about this project, he will consult or discuss with my other colleague and i really feel left out...totally...i mean i'm part of this project, but y leave me out of the discussion? i just feel i'm only being made to do those troublesome parts...i feel i can get any credit out of it...nobody recognised it...feel that i'm just visible when needed help to do the base work...but invisible when the light is shining...but not on me...sigh...i really dont know what to do...i really love what i'm doing...really wana do my best and excel to as high as possible...i think i'm doing well...but unseen...i'm really very sad...i really do not know what to do...these nearly 2yrs doing this management reporting, i've worked my best, there are worse times too...but...i do not get any credit...arghhhhh...really frustrated...and it's getting on my emotions...where it will hit my health...sigh...really sad...
cant continue liao...will stop here...think will cry if i go on...take care
God Bless...

~felt better~

the past few days i've been feeling alot better in terms of health...except at time abit of gastric pains...vomit once or twice...quite happy cos guess health is improving bit by bit...not only that...my emotional health is getting better...less of crying already...realy thank ppl around me...and most of all...thank God...He's the best...i've actually have been quite distant away from God for a period of time...really wana spend time talking to God...but just like now, am 'addicted' to distractive stuff like the computer...and by the time i stop using...i'm too tired for devotion time...really have been neglecting God alot...i only have super short talks with Him b4 i sleep or when i'm walking alone...and in church in too...but i've not done the most important thing which is to read His Word...however, now i'm reading some books given by some friends...these are all Christian books...though is still not a Bible, at least they are somethings that will in a way or other bring me closer to God...but still, nothing beats reading the bible...i really really need to have the discipline on this...
anyway, 2dae i OT till abt 8pm...was thinking of going out...but i think it's something God planned, i eventually went home...duno whether is something good or bad, i went home and had a 3hr quarrel cum talk with my parents...actually my dad has always been angry with me cos he doesnt like my current lifestyle...out early in the morning and home abt 10plus or so...he keeps wondering y i do not need any rest at all...and he's unhappy i'm not always at home n feels i dun love home and family at all...actually i really really do love my family alot...appreciated them alot for bringing me up...guess still...i do not noe how to express...the quarrel was kinda bad till he said he do not want to care abt me anymore...was really sad...the quarrel was filled with tears...for me...my dad, is sum1 who cares and loves me most in the family...without him and his strictness, i wouldnt be who i am now...actually i will really be devastated if he really were to not care about me anymore...love my dad whole lots...but...i guess i'm brought up in an environment where we do not express love for each other even if we really do...each of us family members are like that...how i envy friends whom i hear that they hugged and kissed their parents...say 'i love you' to them...would always wonder why not mine?but still, it is lived this way...guess it cant be changed much...been that man years already...but that doesnt stop me from loving them...only that the way i express is not what they want...that is why my dad is disappointed in me...how i really wish he understands my situation...ppl would say that i should tell him...but to me it's difficult...tried telling him...but his traditional thinking wouldnt budge...so it's kinda no use...and actually i all the while really wana work hard at work...show my worth...(which i felt that not many noticed)...study hard...and eventually earn much more so that i can provide more for them...but still...wat they want is me to be at home...really trying hard now though...
anyway the quarrel digressed...means its actually not really solved...i mean the problem...however, the other topic we talked about actually made mi understand them more...something good...it's on something about the whole big family...misunderstandings of the older generations and stuff...anyway these batch of people are old and mature enough to handle these problems...i wouldnt care much...but what i really hope is that all of their misunderstandings do not affect the younger generation...i really treasure my relationships with my cousins...they are the people who will grow old together with me...that's y i feel that our relationship should be close...i really hope things of the older generation will not happen...
sometimes i really wonder how God does the unexpected...u will really be amazed...although the problem with my dad is not solved, God planned it that i go home earlier juz to at least bring back the bonds with my parents(though it still includes the quarrel)...i noe my dad now feels alot better...cos we really sat down and spend time to talk(the digression part)...
anyway...i really gotta do some reflection on myself too...my attitude...been really too stubborn...whole family has been like that...really gotta spend time and talk to God to give me the strength and wisdom to handle matters esp at home...as for work and studies, He has always been constantly blessing me...good supervisor and colleague, good group members for assignments...i can reall admit till now i really duno much about what i've studied in these 2yrs...but i managed to pass...some even with fairly good results...all these are really God's blessings...i mean i will also have to thank frens around me who helped too...but still, wihout God, i guessed i might not have come till this point...but, i still have to try and do my part by doing revision and stuff...yup...hmmz...

aniway will stop here...take gd care...
God Bless~

~health getting worse???~

Sigh~...duno what's happening to my health...getting worse each day...even with medication...and taking more of bland food...sigh...

past few days been vomiting and vomiting whenever possible...sometimes i'm really getting tired of it...very xin ku u noe...but i cant do anything...but still thank many people for showering me with loads of concern...sigh...i really miss my doc...he went for reservist and will onli be back at the end of month...means i gotta 'suffer' for the next few weeks...cos only he knows my condition and tell me what to do...say for today(friday)...was having kinda a bad time at work...not abt work but my health...i rushed to the toilet twice to vomit...and my whole body just feel uncomfortable...so i told my supervisor and went back...i noe my doc isnt ard...but i still went to the clinic at my place(for MC too)...pathethic...no patients(though is a good thing lah)...but most patients when they noe that the doc isnt the doc i usually see...they wun go...dat is wy at that time nobody at all...i went in...he juz sat at the chair in a slack position...and asked me what happended...i told him is my usual symptoms...den he was like duno what to do...asked me what do i want...he sae he cant do anything except giving more medicine which i already have...so i juz told him to give mi my MC instead...n left...see what i mean?he doesnt know anything!i mean he may know alot abt being a doctor...but he doesnt know how to deal with my condition...see him also no use...really miss my doc man...
after i got my MC...i went home n sleep...for abt 5 hrs i think...den wash up and went to my place nearby coffeeshop to have some porridge and went for class...on my way...i duno y...keep thinking alots of things again...and i really cant remember what i was thinking abt...den keep crying...in the day i cried too cos i juz cant take it that i kept vomiting...then when i was in class...at certain points of time...i teared abit again...but nobody saw...covered my face...and have got gastric pain...when when i'm on my way home...i teared too...juz duno why...is this really symptoms of depression?how is depression like?sigh...n i went home n vomitted again...i really find it very xin ku...and i feel that when i get home...i gotta put on another front that i'm simply fine and healthy...1st is not to worry my parents...2nd is to prevent myself from getting nagged or scolded at...n being blamed that i caused this upon myself...sigh...wonder how long is this going to be like...a colleague of mine kept advising me to think of happy thoughts...but it's really difficult to void off those unhappy ones...or troubled ones...at times i really do not noe what to do...do pray at times...guess i'm not desperate enough...have i given up on myself?i really duno...sigh...
many advise me to go on a break...but i really do not have enough leave...and i cant bear to leave my work juz like that...my work is very impt to me and i take my work v seriously...i can rather not go relax and sink myself into work...and there's also no way for me to leave work juz like that...cos there's some daily report that have to be sent out everyday...and i've got to do it...and there are other work which no one noes how to do it...so how am i to go for a break?i have to be at my work always...and at this period of time, the colleagues whom i think might have to learn to do my stuff(to be my back up) is very bz with other areas of work...i also wldnt want to burden her with more of my work...so dat's y...hmmm...

anyway gotta stop here...being nagged to sleep...nitez all...take care
God Bless n Love all of ya...

~don't be mistaken~

hey all...dont be mistaken that i'm all out to say how bad my parents are and how they treat me...they actually treat me really really well...without them...i wouldnt be here i am now...they are just so wonderful in taking care of me and bringing me up...and i really love them loads even though i am always frustrated with them...but...they always think that i do not love my home at all...guess i duno how to express ba...that's me...yup... :)

~can't take it anymore~

AAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

i just hate taking medicine...the thought of it makes me feel even more sick...every morning...when i get up and brush teeth and wash my face...at anytime...i will feel nauseas...even to the point to be vomitting..or even the action of it since nothing came out...first...when i wake up...my stomach will already be feeling uncomfy...den nauseasness takes place...after the process of 'vomitting',i will feel terribly uncomfy...to even the point of dropping tears...thereafter, the thought of having to take my medicine...i really cried...slowly...will take my medicines out...about 8 tablets or so...2 of which i have to chew...which makes me wana cry even more...every tablet into my mouth, my tear drops...usually...this will happen at home in my room where nobody sees...i do not even dare to show my uncomfortness in front of my parents...cos i know they will nag or scold mi...which will lead to lots of restrictions...
juz like yesterday...i called home to ask my mum whether they are going out for dinner...she said yes...i asked her what time and she told mi abt 630 to 645pm...i even told her i'm at bugis...she's the 1 who said will call mi again to see if will fetch me...(which is most prob)...so dat's y i didnt go home first...then 645 came...but still no calls from her...so i called her and asked...i told her that if it's too late den i will be eating out...cos i'm really hungry...but she doesnt allow...she wants mi to go along (partly cos if i dun go my dad will b unhappy)...so...i wait...she said wait another 5mins...in the end is abt 15mins...den my gastric starts to react...feel v pain...then my bro and dad arrived...he asked why i looked so serious...den i told him i got gastric pain...then he got angry and said mi...say if so pain y i dun go eat first?there's no need for mi to join them...(if not wrong the tone of his is that he thinks i dowana have dinner w them...dat's y give that excuse)...but...y doesnt he understand?i took the effort to call home and ask if they are meeting for dinner...but...what i received were unhappy voices...scoldings...they misunderstood me...guess now whenever i'm in pain...gotta vomit or even vomit...i canot let them know...what's the point? they will blame it on any other things they could think of instead of being concerned...i really feel so lost...i'm already sick of my medicines...now...i even have to act that i'm healthy in front of my parents...that's the best i can do...i guess...guess nobody understands my woes and sorrows...Except God...but...nvm...will not elaborate much...oh yah...altho i gotta go thru all these difficulties at home where no one will b concerned...i really appreciate frens out there who really take the effort to shower mi with care and concern...which i'm really happy abt...thanks alot all frens out there who are there for me...and oh...some of my dearest cousins and aunties and uncles too...thanks!...hmmm...k will stop here...gotta work...byeee

God Bless~

~i'm learning~

Hi peeps...more updates of me again...heez...

Hmm...time past very fast...and i've been at my new place for about 2weeks already...n i survived it and still doing well...heez...many of my colleagues in 18th floor kept asking how am i up there(25th floor)...the 1st thing i will answer them is " Wo An Jing Duo le"...which means i've become alot quieter already...the usual chatty and talkative and loud me has now become sort of quiet...why? cos i'm sitting near many big shots...so no choice...gotta tone down...but i find it better lah...haaz...and another thing is that i've slacked even lesser...always on the go with my work...chat less on msn...and surf less net...haaz...coz behind me sits someone...wldnt say who..but i muz be careful of my actions and what i do at work...anyway...i guess such arrangements for me at work is good lah...so that i can concentrate more on work..learn more...and excel...heezzz...

oh yah...about my title...yup...i'm slowly learning more and more things...today i've learnt new things too..and i'm really happy that i again have the chance to really sit down with people and talk and discuss about new things or even existing issues that needs to be raised and understood...although i admit i have short term memory(STM)...usually will forget what i've learnt...but i know if i keep trying to remember it...it will be beneficial to me...just now did OT...cos' doing month end closing reports...but after that i have some discussions with my supervisor...he wants me to do up charts for enhancement of the reports i've been doing so that the product managers will be able to understand the whole report in an easier manner...n guess what? i have to do up close to 100 charts lor...grrr...but nvm...learning process...he also taught me some tricks about doing up the charts...heez...after that...we had discussions on a part of the credit card biz...and i'm really glad to ahave such discussions...so nice to know more things...heez...now also got to understand more new terms which i do not understand last time...really appreciate him taking the time to sit down with me and another colleague(also another blessing from God as she's always keen to teach me when she can--a christian too :) )...and discuss work related matters...really thank God for all this...cos i've always been wanting to leave...cos not learning...n pay little(still as little now)...but at least now am learning lots...which helps a great deal when i look for job next time...as for my pay and position...i'm still working hard for it...
anyway...i used to think my 'new life' (in a bad sense) has started when i shifted up...but indeed my 'new life' has started...but...in a good way...n i'm glad abt it...hope nothing bad shatters my thoughts...heez...

k will stop here...

~different perspective?~

Hi all...just reached home not long ago...tired...another tiring day at work...plus after work i met up with Leon...thereafter his mum, bro, and bro's gf joined us for dinner...oh yah...here to wish Leon Happy Birthday! heez...hope you enjoyed dinner...

anyway...i'm here to talk about my work...hmm...guess i now gona have a different perspective about my new supervisor...guess he's not dat bad(from wat i always heard) at all...in fact, i feel that he leads well...he's willing to teach me new things...but provided both of us are not bz with other stuff...i really like it when i get to learn more things...rather than slacking off...and when i learn more things, i get more enthusiastic about work(which was how i am during my 1st 2 ex supervisors' time)...i'm feeling that now it's time again for me to excel further...hopefully though...cos now's juz the beginning...but anyway...i believed that i will learn alot...really feel bad abt how i think about him previously...guess i believe what ppl sae easily...but i thought i also experienced the 'bad' things from him b4...mayb now cos i'm under him?i don't know leh...but doesn't seem that way...cos from what i've noticed, many ppl in fact work well with him...only particular few think differently...in which i do not know why...*puzzled*...but i can sae that the way i see him handle problems...he's good at it...and when i'm fast at certain work, he praised me (which i have not heard for quite some time)...anyway...i'm really gona work very hard this time...i wana make this working experience worthwhile...*walking towards my goal*...about the giving myself 3 more months time...guess i gotta reconsider...1st is cos i wana learn more...2nd is i know that from now till yr end is gona be really bz for us...and i feel i juz cant leave like that...esp when nobody knows how to back mi up if i'm not around...plus they do not have the time to learn yet...and i promised i wouldn't play them out...hmmm...wonder izzit a good choice...but till then, i will still continue working ba...hmmm...

anyway...will stop here...wana sleep..tired...hope tmr will be a great day~

take care n God Bless~

~moving...~

Today...24th July 2006...marks another beginning of my working life...again...haiz...cos i gonna change supervior again...though my boss is still the same...hmmm...going to another team...most of my work will still be the same...the rest i not sure...hmmm...
Actually duno whether i should be happy or not...cos i dun have a very good impression of my new supervisor...kinda fake...and heard that he backstabs...so duno how my life will be like when i swtich team...but...i also do not wana stay in where i'm at...cos i cannot tahan my current supervisor...she's a nice person...however, she's someone whom i think doesnt know how to lead...the way she does her work is really good...but she doesnt portray any good leadership skills...she always shows her mood...cannot take stress...whenever something happens(even those not serious type)...she will get angry...anyhow throws things...(on her desk lah)...and keep sighing super loudly which is super irritating...and when she ask any of us do something...she talks so softly dat i give up hearing...and continue to do my things...another thing that i felt is that i did not learn anything from her...things abt work that i dont know...sometimes she does...but is that kind of rush it thru type...den i will catch no ball...keke...i really miss my 1st 2 supervisors...they will really teach me till i understand...and they are really good supervisors...they wun portray as if they know EVERYTHING...which is wat my current supervisor thinks she is...they admit when they are wrong...and agree with my suggestions at times...which i really appreciate alot...really miss them...
Anyway...my new supervisor will be my 4th one...sigh...in UOB less than 2yrs and i've changed 4 supervisors...sigh...oh yah...now packing my stuff...1 big box and afew small boxes...now at 18th floor...going up to 25th floor...guess what? think i'm gona be really bored...will really miss my other colleagues i've been with for the past 1yr plus...now my new surrounding is that i will be sitting near those VPs, AVP, and worst of all...the Division Head...oh no...think the usual noisy me gotta be super quiet already...arghhh...mayb canot even surf net or go msn liaoz...sadz...*sobz* just so sad...the person i will really miss most is my gan jie...she treats me very well and understands mi alot...she always help mi from that unreasonable supervisor...other than my 1st 2 supervisors, she's the next 1 who always shields mi from the 'evil'...haaz...really will miss her...think my tears really drop liao...sigh...
Anyway...i gona give my new team mayb 3mths...if really i cant take it...i might look for other jobs...cos by that time i will have 2yrs experience liao...however, will still pray...ask God which way shld i go...hmmm...sad...already stress with sch work liao...still got work...haiz...when will everything be smooth going?i duno...hmmm...

k gotta stop here...will do my work den shift my stuff up...will update again!
Take Care and God Bless~

~something to share~

would like to share a conversation i had with my aunty...saw her wearing Birkenstock footwear...then we started talking about it...she bought it at the Birk's shop @Wheelock Place...oh yah...would strongly recommend this brand of footwear...really good...though i dont have one...long story...haaz...
anyway...there's a short phrase she quote abt Birks...from her son...
here it goes : " If u buy a real one(the footwear), it will be called BirkenStock. But if u buy a fake one, it will be called BRokenStock."
juz find this sentence interesting...so i share...guess some will juz find it lame...but..i find it rhymes...haaz...

take care...God Bless n God Loves u!

I Miss u?

When will a guy say ''I Miss You''
Message: When a guy is quiet,
He's listening to you...

When a guy is not arguing,
He realizes he's wrong

When a guy says, "I'm fine," after a few
minutes,
he means it

When a guy stares at you,
he thinks you're the most beautiful thing in
the
world

When you're laying your head on a guy's
chest
he has the world

When a guy calls you everyday
he is in love

When a (good) guy say he loves you
he means it

When a guy says he can't live without you
he's with you till your done

When a guy says, "I miss you,"
he misses you more than you could have
ever
missed
him or anything else

Girl Facts:

When a girl is quiet,
millions of things are running through her
mind.

When a girl is not arguing,
she is thinking deeply.

When a girl looks at you with eyes full of
questions,
she is wondering how long you will be
around.

When a girl answers, "I'm fine," after a few
seconds,
she is not at all fine.

When a girl stares at you,
she is wondering why you are so
wonderful.

When a girl lays on your chest,
she is wishing for you to be hers forever.

When a girl calls you everyday,
she is seeking for your attention.

When a girl wants to see you everyday,
she wants to be pampered.

When a girl says, "I'll love you forever,"
she means it.

When a girl says that she can't live without
you,
she has made up her mind that you are her
future.

When a girl says, "I miss you,"
no one in this world can miss you more
than that

:: how to work in a hostile environment ::

HOW TO WORK IN A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT

1. Understand that God anoints you for trouble.

Put on the armor of God before going to work.

2. Don't expect to be appreciated.

Your only expectation should be to get a paycheck.

Don't come to work to have personal relationships.

Don't allow what you do to affect who you are.

3. Do your job well, but remember your mission.

God put you there to be a light.

4. Seek opportunities to change the atmosphere without commenting on the problems.

You have a God to talk to.

You're on an assignment.

In quietness and competence shall be your strength.

5. Don't let your environment get inside of you.

You should influence it, not let it influence you.

Stop going to work to be fed - you didn't come to receive, you came to give.

6. Increase your capacity to work with different personalities.

God will often bless you through people you don't even like!

7. Remember where you are does not define where you are going.

This will deliver you from frustration.

God has a plan for your life.

Keep your eye on the prize.

When Peter did this, he was able to walk in what other people sank in!

8. Get the optimum results with minimal confusion.

Be effective without making the environment worse.

9. Don't be associated with one group or clique.

Labels limit your usefulness.

God wants you to work with everybody but be labeled by nobody.

Use all your gifts.

10. Always keep your song near you.

Hold on to your praise.

~Dinner @ Ikea~

Baked Salmon...taste not bad...

Swedish Meatballs~ not bad too...but not fantastic...heez...

a pic of me and xiao mei

hi peeps...yup...mouth-watering pics again?heez...forgot to take the chic wings though...haaz...met up with Leon's frens for dinner...nice bunch of peeps...heez...at first thought will be kinda paiseh cos do not noe them...but everything goes well...xiao mei is Leon's gan mei mei...interesting gal...especially the way she laughs...unique...hmmmz...oh yah...guess wat?it's like i think 2nd or 3rd time in my 21yrs of life that i visited Ikea...sua ku rite? mayb i dont travel that far for no reason..plus no purpose for me to go Ikea...at least this meet up is for dinner...haaz...hmmm...some comments about what are sold at Ikea...the soft toys sold there are really ugly...mayb don't use the word ugly lah...juz not really pleasing to the eyes...haaz...some are really weird...wonder will people really buy it...haaz...and i feel that the furnitures and other stuffs there are not as fantastic as i thought it was...i've always have the thought that they sell very unique and nice furnitures...but guess i'm wrong (own point of view though)...

anyway...giving comments time...how do you pronounce IKEA?
for mi, i pronounce it as I - K - Ee - a (each pronounced as its respective alphabets except for 'a' where it sounds like 'a dog' or maybe 'er' without the 'rr' sound...i used to pronounce it as EeKia...a language all singaporeans understand...but it is wrong...this is cos' it happened that my Australian lecturer brought in a video clip on entrepreneurs for us to watch...one of the entrepreneurs is the founder of Ikea...and he pronounced it as the way i now pronounce it as...but as usual...when i said it that way...most people became 'blur'...haaz...then i will have to use the singaporean language...anyway would like to know which is actually the correct pronunciation?

there's another word where people always mispronounce...Salmon...people always pronounce it as SELLMON...but IT IS WRONG! my GP tution teacher used to tell me that the 'l' should not be read out...i always correct people...but they just dont listen..oh well...i did help...but...haaz...

anyway...will stop here...hope this doesnt bore you...heez...

take care n God Bless~~

~Fire Conference on 30/06/06 and 01/07/06~

Fire Conference is juz so amazing...loved it! it rocks!...actually wasnt intending to go...but some frens kept asking me to go...so i decided mayb juz go for Fri's one...cos Sat i intend to go Batam to relax...too stress...plus long long 1 time got holidays from sch...however, after i went for the Fri's conf...i loved it!and had a feeling from God that i should go for the Sat's one too...so in the end the trip was cancelled so that i can attend Sat's conf...really great....see the number of people there? the indoor stadium is really filled...really amazed by what God can do!heez...and really amazed to see so many faithful believers, and even non believers attend...really feel happy when i see people getting saved...really...but really hope it's really from their heart that they really wana accept Christ...cos this is not something for fun...though it can be very tough being a christian...but it is juz so amazing when you see what God does in your life...His blessings...the miracle He does...all these are juz too wonderful...yup...happy to be a christian although sometimes i'm really tired of it...heez...human nature...haaz...

Anyway, for those who missed the Fire Conference...too bad...but the next one will be in Hong Kong next yr...try go ba...heez...

Oh yah...here to also let you readers know that on the 15th July 2006, there will be an event called Asian Idol at S'pore Expo Hall 3...4pm...dun miss it...it will be great! admission is free!!!...good deal rite?heez...hope to see u people there!!!~

Nothing is Impossible...

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"

The Son replied "It is a crow".

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?"

The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, what is this?"

At this time some _expression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff..

"It's a crow, a crow".

A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, "What is this?"

This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times.

I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".

While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and When today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble And kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.

From today say this aloud,

"I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child.

They have always showered their selfless love on me.
