~i'm learning~

Hi peeps...more updates of me again...heez...

Hmm...time past very fast...and i've been at my new place for about 2weeks already...n i survived it and still doing well...heez...many of my colleagues in 18th floor kept asking how am i up there(25th floor)...the 1st thing i will answer them is " Wo An Jing Duo le"...which means i've become alot quieter already...the usual chatty and talkative and loud me has now become sort of quiet...why? cos i'm sitting near many big shots...so no choice...gotta tone down...but i find it better lah...haaz...and another thing is that i've slacked even lesser...always on the go with my work...chat less on msn...and surf less net...haaz...coz behind me sits someone...wldnt say who..but i muz be careful of my actions and what i do at work...anyway...i guess such arrangements for me at work is good lah...so that i can concentrate more on work..learn more...and excel...heezzz...

oh yah...about my title...yup...i'm slowly learning more and more things...today i've learnt new things too..and i'm really happy that i again have the chance to really sit down with people and talk and discuss about new things or even existing issues that needs to be raised and understood...although i admit i have short term memory(STM)...usually will forget what i've learnt...but i know if i keep trying to remember it...it will be beneficial to me...just now did OT...cos' doing month end closing reports...but after that i have some discussions with my supervisor...he wants me to do up charts for enhancement of the reports i've been doing so that the product managers will be able to understand the whole report in an easier manner...n guess what? i have to do up close to 100 charts lor...grrr...but nvm...learning process...he also taught me some tricks about doing up the charts...heez...after that...we had discussions on a part of the credit card biz...and i'm really glad to ahave such discussions...so nice to know more things...heez...now also got to understand more new terms which i do not understand last time...really appreciate him taking the time to sit down with me and another colleague(also another blessing from God as she's always keen to teach me when she can--a christian too :) )...and discuss work related matters...really thank God for all this...cos i've always been wanting to leave...cos not learning...n pay little(still as little now)...but at least now am learning lots...which helps a great deal when i look for job next time...as for my pay and position...i'm still working hard for it...
anyway...i used to think my 'new life' (in a bad sense) has started when i shifted up...but indeed my 'new life' has started...but...in a good way...n i'm glad abt it...hope nothing bad shatters my thoughts...heez...

k will stop here...

~different perspective?~

Hi all...just reached home not long ago...tired...another tiring day at work...plus after work i met up with Leon...thereafter his mum, bro, and bro's gf joined us for dinner...oh yah...here to wish Leon Happy Birthday! heez...hope you enjoyed dinner...

anyway...i'm here to talk about my work...hmm...guess i now gona have a different perspective about my new supervisor...guess he's not dat bad(from wat i always heard) at all...in fact, i feel that he leads well...he's willing to teach me new things...but provided both of us are not bz with other stuff...i really like it when i get to learn more things...rather than slacking off...and when i learn more things, i get more enthusiastic about work(which was how i am during my 1st 2 ex supervisors' time)...i'm feeling that now it's time again for me to excel further...hopefully though...cos now's juz the beginning...but anyway...i believed that i will learn alot...really feel bad abt how i think about him previously...guess i believe what ppl sae easily...but i thought i also experienced the 'bad' things from him b4...mayb now cos i'm under him?i don't know leh...but doesn't seem that way...cos from what i've noticed, many ppl in fact work well with him...only particular few think differently...in which i do not know why...*puzzled*...but i can sae that the way i see him handle problems...he's good at it...and when i'm fast at certain work, he praised me (which i have not heard for quite some time)...anyway...i'm really gona work very hard this time...i wana make this working experience worthwhile...*walking towards my goal*...about the giving myself 3 more months time...guess i gotta reconsider...1st is cos i wana learn more...2nd is i know that from now till yr end is gona be really bz for us...and i feel i juz cant leave like that...esp when nobody knows how to back mi up if i'm not around...plus they do not have the time to learn yet...and i promised i wouldn't play them out...hmmm...wonder izzit a good choice...but till then, i will still continue working ba...hmmm...

anyway...will stop here...wana sleep..tired...hope tmr will be a great day~

take care n God Bless~

~moving...~

Today...24th July 2006...marks another beginning of my working life...again...haiz...cos i gonna change supervior again...though my boss is still the same...hmmm...going to another team...most of my work will still be the same...the rest i not sure...hmmm...
Actually duno whether i should be happy or not...cos i dun have a very good impression of my new supervisor...kinda fake...and heard that he backstabs...so duno how my life will be like when i swtich team...but...i also do not wana stay in where i'm at...cos i cannot tahan my current supervisor...she's a nice person...however, she's someone whom i think doesnt know how to lead...the way she does her work is really good...but she doesnt portray any good leadership skills...she always shows her mood...cannot take stress...whenever something happens(even those not serious type)...she will get angry...anyhow throws things...(on her desk lah)...and keep sighing super loudly which is super irritating...and when she ask any of us do something...she talks so softly dat i give up hearing...and continue to do my things...another thing that i felt is that i did not learn anything from her...things abt work that i dont know...sometimes she does...but is that kind of rush it thru type...den i will catch no ball...keke...i really miss my 1st 2 supervisors...they will really teach me till i understand...and they are really good supervisors...they wun portray as if they know EVERYTHING...which is wat my current supervisor thinks she is...they admit when they are wrong...and agree with my suggestions at times...which i really appreciate alot...really miss them...
Anyway...my new supervisor will be my 4th one...sigh...in UOB less than 2yrs and i've changed 4 supervisors...sigh...oh yah...now packing my stuff...1 big box and afew small boxes...now at 18th floor...going up to 25th floor...guess what? think i'm gona be really bored...will really miss my other colleagues i've been with for the past 1yr plus...now my new surrounding is that i will be sitting near those VPs, AVP, and worst of all...the Division Head...oh no...think the usual noisy me gotta be super quiet already...arghhh...mayb canot even surf net or go msn liaoz...sadz...*sobz* just so sad...the person i will really miss most is my gan jie...she treats me very well and understands mi alot...she always help mi from that unreasonable supervisor...other than my 1st 2 supervisors, she's the next 1 who always shields mi from the 'evil'...haaz...really will miss her...think my tears really drop liao...sigh...
Anyway...i gona give my new team mayb 3mths...if really i cant take it...i might look for other jobs...cos by that time i will have 2yrs experience liao...however, will still pray...ask God which way shld i go...hmmm...sad...already stress with sch work liao...still got work...haiz...when will everything be smooth going?i duno...hmmm...

k gotta stop here...will do my work den shift my stuff up...will update again!
Take Care and God Bless~

~something to share~

would like to share a conversation i had with my aunty...saw her wearing Birkenstock footwear...then we started talking about it...she bought it at the Birk's shop @Wheelock Place...oh yah...would strongly recommend this brand of footwear...really good...though i dont have one...long story...haaz...
anyway...there's a short phrase she quote abt Birks...from her son...
here it goes : " If u buy a real one(the footwear), it will be called BirkenStock. But if u buy a fake one, it will be called BRokenStock."
juz find this sentence interesting...so i share...guess some will juz find it lame...but..i find it rhymes...haaz...

Anyway...there goes my HARD EARNED money...soooo sad....juz got my pay and dat's it...no more liao...this whole month gona eat grass...no more good food...plus...frens whose bdae within the month from now...i'm sorry...prezzies will be cheapskate...if not dun have...hahahaa...oops...really canot believe it man...spent more than 1k in less than a week!!! haiz...but no choice...that's wat i want...heee...took the Hip Hop class on Sat...so fun! but really tiring cos 1hr non-stop!!!haaz...but the next few days whole body ache lor...haaz...

I Miss u?

When will a guy say ''I Miss You''
Message: When a guy is quiet,
He's listening to you...

When a guy is not arguing,
He realizes he's wrong

When a guy says, "I'm fine," after a few
minutes,
he means it

When a guy stares at you,
he thinks you're the most beautiful thing in
the
world

When you're laying your head on a guy's
chest
he has the world

When a guy calls you everyday
he is in love

When a (good) guy say he loves you
he means it

When a guy says he can't live without you
he's with you till your done

When a guy says, "I miss you,"
he misses you more than you could have
ever
missed
him or anything else

Girl Facts:

When a girl is quiet,
millions of things are running through her
mind.

When a girl is not arguing,
she is thinking deeply.

When a girl looks at you with eyes full of
questions,
she is wondering how long you will be
around.

When a girl answers, "I'm fine," after a few
seconds,
she is not at all fine.

When a girl stares at you,
she is wondering why you are so
wonderful.

When a girl lays on your chest,
she is wishing for you to be hers forever.

When a girl calls you everyday,
she is seeking for your attention.

When a girl wants to see you everyday,
she wants to be pampered.

When a girl says, "I'll love you forever,"
she means it.

When a girl says that she can't live without
you,
she has made up her mind that you are her
future.

When a girl says, "I miss you,"
no one in this world can miss you more
than that

:: how to work in a hostile environment ::

HOW TO WORK IN A HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT

1. Understand that God anoints you for trouble.

Put on the armor of God before going to work.

2. Don't expect to be appreciated.

Your only expectation should be to get a paycheck.

Don't come to work to have personal relationships.

Don't allow what you do to affect who you are.

3. Do your job well, but remember your mission.

God put you there to be a light.

4. Seek opportunities to change the atmosphere without commenting on the problems.

You have a God to talk to.

You're on an assignment.

In quietness and competence shall be your strength.

5. Don't let your environment get inside of you.

You should influence it, not let it influence you.

Stop going to work to be fed - you didn't come to receive, you came to give.

6. Increase your capacity to work with different personalities.

God will often bless you through people you don't even like!

7. Remember where you are does not define where you are going.

This will deliver you from frustration.

God has a plan for your life.

Keep your eye on the prize.

When Peter did this, he was able to walk in what other people sank in!

8. Get the optimum results with minimal confusion.

Be effective without making the environment worse.

9. Don't be associated with one group or clique.

Labels limit your usefulness.

God wants you to work with everybody but be labeled by nobody.

Use all your gifts.

10. Always keep your song near you.

Hold on to your praise.

~Dinner @ Ikea~

Baked Salmon...taste not bad...

Swedish Meatballs~ not bad too...but not fantastic...heez...

a pic of me and xiao mei

hi peeps...yup...mouth-watering pics again?heez...forgot to take the chic wings though...haaz...met up with Leon's frens for dinner...nice bunch of peeps...heez...at first thought will be kinda paiseh cos do not noe them...but everything goes well...xiao mei is Leon's gan mei mei...interesting gal...especially the way she laughs...unique...hmmmz...oh yah...guess wat?it's like i think 2nd or 3rd time in my 21yrs of life that i visited Ikea...sua ku rite? mayb i dont travel that far for no reason..plus no purpose for me to go Ikea...at least this meet up is for dinner...haaz...hmmm...some comments about what are sold at Ikea...the soft toys sold there are really ugly...mayb don't use the word ugly lah...juz not really pleasing to the eyes...haaz...some are really weird...wonder will people really buy it...haaz...and i feel that the furnitures and other stuffs there are not as fantastic as i thought it was...i've always have the thought that they sell very unique and nice furnitures...but guess i'm wrong (own point of view though)...

anyway...giving comments time...how do you pronounce IKEA?
for mi, i pronounce it as I - K - Ee - a (each pronounced as its respective alphabets except for 'a' where it sounds like 'a dog' or maybe 'er' without the 'rr' sound...i used to pronounce it as EeKia...a language all singaporeans understand...but it is wrong...this is cos' it happened that my Australian lecturer brought in a video clip on entrepreneurs for us to watch...one of the entrepreneurs is the founder of Ikea...and he pronounced it as the way i now pronounce it as...but as usual...when i said it that way...most people became 'blur'...haaz...then i will have to use the singaporean language...anyway would like to know which is actually the correct pronunciation?

there's another word where people always mispronounce...Salmon...people always pronounce it as SELLMON...but IT IS WRONG! my GP tution teacher used to tell me that the 'l' should not be read out...i always correct people...but they just dont listen..oh well...i did help...but...haaz...

anyway...will stop here...hope this doesnt bore you...heez...

take care n God Bless~~

~Fire Conference on 30/06/06 and 01/07/06~

Fire Conference is juz so amazing...loved it! it rocks!...actually wasnt intending to go...but some frens kept asking me to go...so i decided mayb juz go for Fri's one...cos Sat i intend to go Batam to relax...too stress...plus long long 1 time got holidays from sch...however, after i went for the Fri's conf...i loved it!and had a feeling from God that i should go for the Sat's one too...so in the end the trip was cancelled so that i can attend Sat's conf...really great....see the number of people there? the indoor stadium is really filled...really amazed by what God can do!heez...and really amazed to see so many faithful believers, and even non believers attend...really feel happy when i see people getting saved...really...but really hope it's really from their heart that they really wana accept Christ...cos this is not something for fun...though it can be very tough being a christian...but it is juz so amazing when you see what God does in your life...His blessings...the miracle He does...all these are juz too wonderful...yup...happy to be a christian although sometimes i'm really tired of it...heez...human nature...haaz...

Anyway, for those who missed the Fire Conference...too bad...but the next one will be in Hong Kong next yr...try go ba...heez...

Oh yah...here to also let you readers know that on the 15th July 2006, there will be an event called Asian Idol at S'pore Expo Hall 3...4pm...dun miss it...it will be great! admission is free!!!...good deal rite?heez...hope to see u people there!!!~

Nothing is Impossible...

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.

The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"

The Son replied "It is a crow".

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?"

The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, what is this?"

At this time some _expression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff..

"It's a crow, a crow".

A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time, "What is this?"

This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"

A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times.

I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".

While the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and When today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble And kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.

From today say this aloud,

"I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child.

They have always showered their selfless love on me.

They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".

Nothing in this world is IMPOSSIBLE , coz the word IMPOSSIBLE itself says I M POSSIBLE..

~after nearly 2 months...~

~Ask, and it shall be given to you, seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be open unto you. Matt7:7~

Hi peeps! Heez...it's me...after soo long...haaz...mizzz me? muahahaha...hmmm...i duno what to write lehz...brain not working...hmmm...since when did my brain work?haaz...anyway it's been soo long since i update... i think i can't really remember what happened in the past 2 months...mayb only remember the recent ones...

Yupz...hmm...what happened...hmmm...oh yah...bought a pocket pc on the 1st week of june...wanted one since last year...saved up...and got it...yup...happy that i got it...cos i downloaded a bible inside...more convenient for me...heez...and now i became more attentive during services...cos' i took notes...unlike last time where i juz sit and listen and forget (and sometimes sleep)...hahahaz...yup...that's the detail about my new toy...

Hmmm...what's next? hmmm..yah...really spent alot on medical bills this month...in fact is within 2 weeks...spent like 500plus on consultation and medication...damn ex man...argghhh...and the fact that i have to pay them myself...no choice...cos' i'm working...should be able to afford it myself...but really...heartpain...that sum of money i can either save it up or go shopping lor! nvm...for my health...no choice...(stoooopid gastritis)...

A Story worth reading

Breakfast at McDonald's . Please read until the end.

This is a good story and is true, please read it all the way through until the end! (After the story, there are some very interesting facts!):

I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called "Smile." The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway, so, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald's one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing special playtime with our son. We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch... an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved.

As I turned around I smelled a horrible "dirty body" smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was "smiling". His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance. He said, "Good day" as he counted the few coins he had been clutching.
The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally challenged and the blue-eyed gentleman was his salvation.

I held my tears as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted.

He said, "Coffee is all Miss" because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).

Then I really felt it - the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes.
That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action. I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue-eyed gentleman's cold hand.

He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Thank you."

I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, "I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope."

I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son. When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, "That is why God gave you to me, Honey, to give me hope."

We held hands for a moment and at that time, we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given were we able to give.

We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure Light of God's sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in "my project" and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at me and said, "Can I share this?" I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class.
She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God share this need to heal people and to be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald's, my husband, son, instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.

I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn: UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE.

Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to
LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS - NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

Are u a Good Cook?

You Are a Learning Cook

You've got the makings of an excellent cook, and the desire to be one.
But right now, you're just lacking the experience. You couldn't be a top chef yet, but you could be an apprentice.

Follow HIM!!

Importance of Friends...

One day, when I was a freshman in high school,

I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school.
His name was Kyle.

It looked like he was carrying all of his books.

I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd."

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him.
They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt.

His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him. He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.

As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives. " He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!"

There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived. As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before. He said he had gone to private school before now.

I would have never hung out with a private school kid before. We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books. He turned out to be a pretty cool kid. I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends He said yes.

We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him. Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again.

I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday! " He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, ! Kyle and I became best friends. When we were seniors, we began to think about college. Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I was going to Duke. I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem.

He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship. Kyle was valedictorian of our class. I teased him all the time about being a nerd. He had to prepare a speech for graduation. I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak

Graduation day, I saw Kyle. He looked great. He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school. He filled out and actually looked good in glasses. He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him. Boy, sometimes I was jealous.
Today was one of those days.

I could see that he was nervous about his speech. So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!" He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled. "! Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began "Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years. Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends... I am here to tell all of you that being a friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.

I am going to tell you a story." I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met. He had planned to kill himself over the weekend. He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home. He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

"Thankfully, I was saved.

My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.

Not until that moment did I realize it's depth. Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture you can change a person's life.

For better or for worse.

Feeling Stress?read dis...juz for laughs~

Mental Hospital

Jim and Mary were both patients in a Mental Hospital.
One day, while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Jim suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank like a stone to the bottom and stayed there. Mary promptly jumped in to save him. She swam the bottom and pulled him out. When the medical director became aware of Mary's heroic act, he immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as he now considered her to be mentally stable.

When he went to tell her the news, he said, "Mary, I have good news & bad news. The good news is you're being discharged because since u were able to jump in and save the life of another patient, I think you've regained your senses". "The bad news is that Jim, the patient you saved, hanged himself in the bathroom with the belt of his robe. I am so sorry, but he's dead".

Mary replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry"

IQ Test...

Your IQ score is 124!

You've got a very experiential way of learning and a strong mathematical mind and you have mastered the art and science of precision. That's what makes you a Precision Processor. For you, life is a series of equations.

Your brain is naturally predisposed to intense mathematical acuity, so it's second nature for you to cut to the heart of an issue, to discover quick solutions while others get bogged down in unnecessary details. This allows you to communicate a variety of ideas to other people, so don't keep it to yourself.

> Hi! Friends,
> A Remarkable Story
of God's Grace

> Please read all
> |It says in James
> |1:2 - "Consider it pure joy, my
> |Brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds." | |
> |------------------+----------------------------------------------------+-
> | |......To count our hurt, pain and struggle as nothing but pure joy? As my parents were Christians, and my Dad even a Pastor of our church, they knew that verse very well. However, on the morning of the 4th of December 1982 in Melbourne (Australia), the last two words on the minds of my parents was "Praise God!". Their firstborn son had been born without limbs! There were no warnings or time to prepare themselves for it. The doctors we shocked and had no answers at all! There is still no medical reason why this had happened and Nick now has a Brother and Sister who were born just like any other|baby. |
The whole church mourned over my birth and my parents were absolutely devastated. Everyone asked, "if God is a God of Love, then why would God let something this bad happen to not just anyone, but dedicated Christians?" My Dad thought I wouldn't survive for very long, but tests proved that I was a healthy baby boy just with a few limbs missing. Understandably, my parents had strong concern and evident fears of what kind of life I'd be able to lead. The first biggest hurdle was for my parents to be at peace and trusting that God was in control. It took a number of months of tears, questions and grief before that complete overtook their hearts. God provided them strength, wisdom and courage through those early years and soon after that I was old enough to go to school. There are a few people who assume that because of my physical disability that it meant that I'd also be mentally disabled. The law in Austr alia didn't allow me to be integrated into a main-stream school because of my physical disability. God did miracles and gave my Mom the strength to fight for the law to be changed. I was one of the first disabled students to be integrated into a main-stream school. I liked going to school, and just try to live life like everyone else, but it was in my early years of school where I encountered uncomfortable times of feeling rejected, weird and bullied because of my physical difference. It was very hard for me to get used to, but with the support of my parents, I started to develop attitudes and values which helped me overcome these challenging times. I knew that I was different but on the inside I was just like everyone else. There were many times when I felt so low that I wouldn't go to school just so I didn't have to face all the negative attention. I was encouraged by my parents to ignore them and to try start making friends by just talk ing with some kids. Soon the students realized that I was just like them, and starting there God kept on blessing me with new friends. There were times when I felt depressed and angry because I couldn't change the way I was, or blame anyone for that matter. I went to Sunday School and learnt that God loves us all and that He cares for you. I understood that love to a point as a child, but I didn't understand that if God loved me why did He make me like this? Is it because I did something wrong? I thought I must have because out of all the kids at school, I'm the only weird one. I felt like I was a burden to those around me and the sooner I go, the better it'd be for everyone. I wanted to end my pain and end my life at a young age, but I am thankful once again, for my parents and family who were always there to comfort me and give me strength. Due to my emotional struggles I had experienced with bullying , self esteem and loneliness, God has implanted a passion of sharing my story and experiences to help others cope with whatever challenge they have in their life and let God turn it into a blessing. To encourage and inspire others to live to their fullest potential and not let anything get in the way of accomplishing their hopes and dreams. As I grew older God continued to prepare my heart and teach me to seek Him. One of the first lessons that I have learnt was not to take things for granted. I had that wake up call around the age of twelve and realised just how much I was blessed with. I take my foot for granted, my family and the fact that I wasn't born in a third world country all blessings that God had freely given and I still complain? I came across; Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the best for those who love Him." That verse spoke to my heart and convicted me to the point where that I know that there is no such thing as luck, chance or coincidence that these "bad" things happen in our life. In; James 1:3&4 - "...know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." I had complete peace knowing that God won't let anything happen to us in our life unless He has a good purpose for it all. I completely gave my life to Christ at the age of fifteen after reading John 9. Jesus said that the reason the man was born blind was "so that the works of God may be revealed through Him." I truly believed that God would heal me so I could be a great testimony of His Awesome Power. Later on I was given the wisdom to understand that if we pray for something, if it's God's will, it'll happen in His time. If it's not God's will for it to happen, then I know that He has something better. I now see that Glory revealed as He is using me just the way I am and in ways others can't be used. I am now twenty-one years old and have completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting. I am also a motivational speaker and love to go out and share my story and testimony wherever opportunities become available. I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics that challenge today's teenagers. I am also a speaker in the corporate sector. For more information on Nick's presen tations go to "Nick's Ministry". In recent years, I have learnt to become independent and can now take care of all my personal needs. I can do everything from brushing my teeth, combing my hair, dressing up, taking care of my personal hygiene and even shaving. I get around the house by jumpin' around and, outside the house, I get around in an electric wheelchair. I love to swim, fish and play soccer. I have a passion for reaching out to youth and keep myself available for whatever God wants me to do, and wherever He leads, I follow. I have many dreams and goals that I have set to achieve in my life. I want to become the best witness I can be of God's Love and Hope, to become an international inspirational speaker and be used as a vessel in both Christian and non-Christian venues. I want to become financially independent by the age of 25, through real estate investments, to modify a car for me to drive and to be interviewed and share my story on the "Oprah Winfrey Show"! Writing several best-selling books has been one of my dreams and I hope to finish writing my first by the end of the year. It will be called "No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!" You might think these goals are too far-fetched. However, I believe that if you have the desire and passion to do something, and if it's God's will, youwill achieve it in good time. As humans, we continually put limits on ourselves for no reason at all! What's worse is putting limits on God who can do all things. We put God in a "box". The awesome thing about the Power of God, is that if we want to do something for God, instead of focusing on our capability, concentrate on our availability for we know that it is God through us and we can't do anything without Him. Once we make ourselves available for God's work, guess whose capabilities we rely on? God's! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13 God has a Great Purpose for your life! As far as your unanswered prayers, remember that God is Faithful. What are we to do when we are seeking but not finding? Jeremiah 29:12 - "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord... Take courage my friend for the Battle is the Lord's and I urge you to keep striving for the truth. For it is the truth that will set you free and the Peace of God that surpasses all understanding will reign in your heart. May the Lord Bless you as you diligently seek Him and grant you Godly Wisdom and Strength through your journey. If you know of an audience which may benefit from hearing Nick's story please contact us at lifewithoutlimbs@yahoo.com - Have a look and see if Nick is speaking in your local area! What is Love?

When you think of your past love, you may view it
as a failure.
>But when you find a new love, you view the past
as a teacher.
>In the game of love, it doesn't really matter who
won or who lost.
>What is important is you know when to hold on
and when to let go!
>You know you really love someone when you
want him or her to be happy, even if their
happiness means that you're not part of it.
>Everything happens for the best. If the person you
love doesn't love you back, don't be afraid to love
someone else
>You'll never love a person you love unless you risk
for love.
>Love strives in hurting. If you don't get hurt, you
don't learn how to love.
>Love doesn't hurt all the time. Though the hurting
is still there to test you, to help you grow. Don't
find love, let love find you.
>That's why it's called falling in love because you
don't force yourself to fall. You just fall.
>You cannot finish a book without closing it's
chapters.
>If you want to go on, then you have to leave the
past as you turn the pages.
>Love is not destroyed by a single failure or won by
a single caress.
>It is a lifetime venture in which we are always
learning, discovering, and growing.
>The greatest irony of love is letting go when you
need to hold on and holding on when you need to
let go.
>We lose someone we love only when we are
destined to find someone else who can love us
even more that we can love ourselves.
>On falling out of love, take some time to heal and
then get back on the horse.
>BUT DON'T EVER MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE
OF RIDING THE SAME ONE THAT THREW YOU
THE FIRST TIME.
>To love is to risk rejection, to live is to risk dying,
to hope is to risk failure.
>But risk must be taken because the greatest
hazard in life is risk nothing!
>To reach for another is to risk involvement, to
expose your feelings is to expose true self, to love
is to risk not to be loved in return

The Most Important Question

The Most Important Question

We seem to spend an enormous amount of time evaluating questions about our future: what school we'll attend, what job we will work, who we will marry, and where we will live. These are important questions and deserve careful consideration. But have we given proper thought to the question which determines our eternal future?

If the Bible is simply a collection of stories and the thoughts of crazy men, then there is no eternity and you need read no further – the next several years are all we have, so make the most of them. But if the Bible is God's direct message, then there is nothing of greater importance! His message says we continue to live long after our physical body ceases to breathe. Though we pass from this earth, we continue to live - we either live in eternal joy and peace, or eternal pain and suffering. There is no greater question: Where WILL we spend eternity?

When Jesus died, He was nailed to a cross along with two other men. These men were thieves and both mocked Jesus for claiming to be the Son of God. But at some point during those long hours on the cross, one of the men demonstrated a changed heart and had his eternal future radically altered.

Luke 23:40-41 -- "'Don't you fear God,' he said, 'since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.'"

In the last moment of life, this common thief pointed the way to eternal peace. He recognized his sin and understood he deserved death. We ALL sin and fall short of God's standard; and this sin deserves death, eternal pain and suffering. But praise God we need not dwell in this hopeless state. The thief turned from his sin, toward Jesus as the One who would conquer death; "Jesus, remember me when You come into Your Kingdom" (Luke 23:42).

Though the thief had nothing to give, he surrendered ALL. God's Word never says there are specific acts which determine our eternal future. We are simply told to believe in Jesus with such a belief that we call out with complete surrender. When the thief recognized and turned from his sin, with humility toward Jesus as his only hope, Jesus answered as He promises to answer us today; "I tell you the truth, today you will be with Me in paradise" (Luke 23:43).

In that moment the thief had his answer. No longer a thief but a Child of God, he would live forever in joy and peace. Let's not allow another day to go by without knowing where we will spend eternity! Have we recognized and turned from the sin within our heart? Have we humbly placed our life in His hands? Do we really believe? Today, let's make sure we know the answer to the most important question.

Have a Great Day!

Winning Joke

This particular joke won an award for the best joke in a competition
organized in Britain and this joke was sent by an Indian.

Banta Strikes Back!!! Banta Singh walks into a bar in Ludhiana &
orders three glasses of Beer and sits in the back of the room, drinking
a sip out of each one in turn. When he finishes them, he comes back to
the bar and orders three more.

The bartender asks him, "You know, beer goes flat after I fill it in
the glass; it would taste better if you bought one at a time."
Banta Singh replies, "Well, you see, I have two brothers. One is in
Dubai, the other in Canada, and I'm here in Ludhiana. When they left
home,we promised that we'd drink this way to remember the days when we
drank together."

The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there.
Banta Singh becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same
way: He orders three Beers and drinks them in turn.
One day, he comes in and orders only two Beers. All the other regulars
notice and fall silent. When he comes back to the bar for the second
round, the bartender says," I don't want to intrude on your grief, but
I wanted to offer my condolences on your great loss."

Banta Singh looks confused for a moment, then a light dawns in his eye
and he laughs. "Oh, no," he, says, "Everyone's fine - both my brothers
are alive"
"Only thing is ---- I just quit drinking"!

A Cure for Cold Weather...

Miss Beatrice, the church organist, was in her eighties and had never been
married. She was admired for her sweetness and kindness to all. One
afternoon the pastor called on her and she showed him into her quaint sitting room.
She invited him to have a seat while she prepared tea.

As he sat facing her old Hammond organ, the young minister noticed a
cut-glass bowl sitting on top of it. The bowl was filled with water, and in the water floated, of all things, a condom! When she returned with tea and scones, they began to chat.

The pastor tried to stifle his curiosity about the bowl of water and its
strange floater, but soon it got the better of him and he could no longer resist. "Miss Beatrice", he said,
"I wonder if you would tell me about this?" pointing to the bowl.

"Oh, yes," she replied, "Isn't it wonderful? I was walking through the Park
a few months ago and I found this little package on the ground. The directions said to place it on the organ, keep it wet and that it would prevent the spread of disease. Do you know I haven't had the flu all winter."

If you don't send this to others, there will be fewer people smiling in the
world!
